How underground do i get???

I am underground in a Badger Burrow making Badger music.

"All roads lean to burrows,
All borrowers need to know,
That what you took from funk today,
You gotta pay double back tomorrow."

So this is the other side project that i am doing with an mad fusion of disco punk madness called The Artful Badger.. Get to know about this.its all about the live shows, we have hay fights, badger, big synths, dancing half naked owl girls, wild feral beasts and so much more.

Yes I did say dancing half naked owl girls

the Badger Badger collective!!

– a 7 piece percussion heavy live band that weave their black magic though intense improvisations that redefine the live experience - journeying Disco , Dubstep, Jungle and Rap Samba.

Get bitten by the Badger!"

Check out the video below to get a feel for the absolute mayhem we cause on stage. obviously in a very productive, lets rock out manner, comepletely manic and with gear shifts like a grand prix

Check out the myspace and hopefully see you at a gig sometime soon! Will post a slideshow of the badger gig pictures soon,

Secret Brookney Stomp Lift Off - RoomfullofMOnsterz Live

So from the humble basement beginnings from the Summer @ Bar Rhumba, we moved onto an atmospheric in-store event @ Wyld Pytch in Soho. With RoomfullofMOnsterz playing an intimate set of songs from their upcoming EP and a nice little flow of drink going on the vibe was set.
Cheers to 2110 Creatives and Yume for the work done

Thanks to Benjamin Amure for the pictures. I am loving this picture. Its reminds me of some early 90s kind of hip hop group. In a fly way not in a this shit looks dated way.

Here is the video of the performance.

RoomfullofMonsterz

Brookney Stomp Pics Up At Last

So unfortunately the boys from Brooklyn missed their flight and didnt do Brookney Stomp.
But we had performances from RoomFullOfMonsterz, Scarlett & Viva and the Clown Prince hosting, with hip hop dropped by DJ Gizmo & DJ InI.
Here are some pics of the fun and games

Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival 2009

Here are some pictures from backstage @ The 5th Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Many thanks to Yume and all the people who made our time and shows there all the more banging.
Here is backstage at the mainstage area. I got some video to upload too, but i am trying to get my edit on - so dont want to just fing it up there.
STyles P is really short, Sheek is a tank, Dead Prez are cool as f*ck and Premo always cuts it up clean.

The rain kinda made it a little more like London for us....

Im loving the black n white bridge pic. I may get a digi slr and dable a bit more

Love Hip Hop Live Mocada Museum

We played a sidewalk show as part of Make Music NY outside the Mocada Museum in Brooklyn.
Many thanks to Yume, the team at Mocada and all the good people who stopped to watch in cars, prams and on foot.

Kaos Black hooked up the footage!!

The Mocada Museum Make Music NY

So we rocked our last gig outside on the steps/sidewalk of the MoCADA Museum Brooklyn. Its is the Museum of

The Brooklyn Hip Hop festival

What can I say....!!! It was a massive event. There were problems just cos of the rain, and the stage had to be rescheduled timewise, but I gotta shout out Mike (Yume) & Wes on how they handled the day and made it rock non stop.
Pharoah Monche, dead Pres, Primo, Styles P, Sheek,Black Thought, broke n English,The Clown Prince...
I never thought with this nutty kinda hip hop we kick that all those names would be mentioned in the same breath..

The backstage was worked nicely with live art going on, lots of cats in the press pens, lots of cameras, hip hop websites, other artists who just came down to support.

I met Black Thought and he was so cool it was crazy. The Roots set the bar for live instrumental hip hop right now.

There were some crazy acts that I wish I had caught their name - there was this 3 man band - one dude on decks, one dude on drums and one dude rocking 2 synths n they just ripped up different instrumentals. with the dj cutting up the acapellas on the decks and it will dope.

We rocked the 2nd stage and werent able to get the full band on, so Andrew had to take up dj duties and Chris became my hype man. It was so funny having Chris as a hype man, he was loving the "rapper mics" and getting his swang on.

Footage after the dots......

Rocking In Harlem Hard!!!

We played an instore launch for Atmos & Yume on Thursday night. Took Afrapunk east end stylee 2 blocks down from the Apollo and rocked this heavy trainer store. Its kinda like ?size and the Secret Wars cats were in attendance too.

It was sweaty as hell!!

Many thanks to carl chilsom check out his work here ,

he took lots of dope pcitures of us! I had to find a way to cover my weird neck allergy! It aint right, but its getting better.

It was a night out on Bleecker for us after the show! Munchies at Katz, too many drinks and was wicked seeing the boy deji abrahams. We stumbled into Le Possion and watched the Grand Puba & U-God concert.

Damn U-God is old and his hype man was kinda off-key, but it was still good seeing wu on stage again.

So here is a Wu God video cut for old times sake

video of the instore will be up soon enough, we just trailing that now. We gotta take our own camera man next time we out. Email c.vs in :)

CtrlAltShift Magazine

Ok so thanks to Neel Dwala for pointing out that I got the last link wrong....hahahah
But here is the link for the articles I am writing for the socially conscious online magazine.

It is an account of my last trip to Las GiDi (LaGoS), So you click on the website, go to the magazine link, and chify will pop up.

Here is an excerpt of one the upcoming articles -

Fuel, Videos & a madman with a Hammer in his Hand.

I have been in Lagos for a couple of days now and think I am finally adjusting to the heat. The temperature is a healthy 32-36 most days and there are some times of day that you just never go outside in the blazing heat. Well if you can help it.
The weird thing as well about Lagos is that there is never a real opportunity for you to walk anywhere. I mean you can if you really have to or want to but there is no “just walking over to the shops” where I live and everything seems like a car trip. It is also seen as safer than just bopping about on road, and not just because of anything to do with getting robbed btu more about the mad little taxi scooters and general driving antics of most people on the roads.
So imagine my surprise when I saw more pedestrians than cars one day. There was a sea of cars all straining towards an already chained up petrol station with sun beaten occupants waiting to get served.
I had managed to get struck with the ‘petrol scarcity’ nightmare of Lagos. There seems to be a reoccurring theme with this trip and oil/gas/petrol, and in fact I think that Nigeria is one of those countries that is very apparent on how it makes it money. We as Nigerians know that our country runs and operates on oil, so when there is no fuel – Nobody move Nobody get ‘urt.

Lagos Living

So I am out here in Lagos now, I have been here a week and I love it....yes i know, give me another 3 weeks and check on my opinion then.
But i always love hanging out here, there is a certain sense of feeling alive i only get in lagos.

I have just managed to get online properly , so I have been writing my blogs offline - so hold tight people, there are lots of videos, pics and tings to hit you up with.

So far we have rocked the new beach house, been on a video shoot for Show Dem Camp, watched an oil pipeline buring - black gold - , been to a music industry showcase, met some recording artists out here, celebrated aj's 4th birthday and attempted a land speed record driving over the longest bridge in africa..

only been here 5 days really - watch out!!

The Dublin Castle Likes The Clown Prince

THE CLOWN PRINCE- Excellent urban/hiphop outing with some truly fabulous riddims ridden raw and rockin by the righteous rapper here…like a London Than/Brit Outkast in many ways….

The Dublin Castle

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show that night. It was a wicked crowd - great energy in the room. We all love a long weekend innit. Still going strong London - 2 more days of lounging to go.

After the gig went over to Night Train @ The Shackerwell Arms to see The BPM play. Ronojoy (ala Real Gold) is running a dope lil soul night down there.
The pub is split into the right kinda sections - so you can
smoke in a chilled seated - covered indoor environment outside
chill in a pubby well lit room with live music and a dj
or
rock it out in a darker- copa cobana esque dance space - with mirrors to catch yourself throwing shapes with your mate

Its just started growing - so go down and support the night..its good fun

I dcuked into Spring break real quick as well. It was round the corner and a hot mess.

Sweat - box is not the word. A friend I was with remarked that the place stank of "sex & dodgy drugs" - well, i have a cold so I missed both, but the heat in there was crazy.

The Clown Prince I Love HipHop

So here we are rocking the crowds as we do

We always have a good time - dont miss the gigs
it your chance to rock out mad styleee
