Nas & Damien Marley Collabo Album

This is one of the most exciting projects I have heard of for a while, Nas and Damien Marley doing a whole album together.
Check the first single "As We Enter", its got a Mulatu sample slid in there as well right at the beginning. Enjoy peeps and look out for the album.

BROOKNEY STOMP NYC; COLE WILLIAMS

Sorry we got these pics up late, the event was a smash. Cole Williams, a world renowned background vocalist, has been set to do a solo project for some time. She blessed us at the TeA Lounge, and we look forward to her return on April 17th. Check out the pics below.

Shirt Smashes It With 24 Frames!!!

I got this email from my Boy Shirt out in New York - who i have been steady promoting over here in London. He is one of the most creative rappers I know and he is constantly crafting his art. I respect not just his hustle, but his actual dedication to the music and his fans as well. If you dont know about Shirt, get to know, cos I am sure he will follow in the footsteps of the Drakes, Wales, and other breakthrough rappers we have seen emerge over the last year or two.

Make sure you click through all the links to get the full meaning of this dudes talent

Heres the email

For the next and final leak off the Tan-Face Children EP I wrote a song using over 120 film titles woven throughout. I asked friends and people on Twitter their favorite films, took some of my own and just went to work. I got the idea and what seemed like a huge task at first turned into a lot of fun haha. I'm most proud of how the story is still my own and tells some of my real experiences with friends. Even down to my man Dred from Brazil who runs Hot Mop Films. I used his debut short film I_NY at the end of the third verse. We're going all the way with this one. Expect a gang of cool promotion from me and the boys.

I threw this up on my twitter at 8pm Friday night and let it build off some of the Oscar Buzz over the weekend. The response so far has been crazy. So many movie-lovers, so many people that just instantly got it and feel where I was going.

The song is called 24 Frames (Movie Night) and you can listen/download the song by clicking here (or just email me back and I'll send the mp3, lyrics, and artwork right to your inbox)

Another thing I was trying to do is give people the lyrics to follow along with every single movie I actually mention. You can find the lyrics complete with links, artwork etc. clicking here.

Thanks so much for the continued support. Like I always say, but seriously as true as ever, we're only just getting started. I really just want you to enjoy what I did here and like it enough to pass it along to friends. This is not a droid sending you these emails haha. I'm personally reaching out and I'd love to hear some feedback.

The Tan-Face Children EP with Darvin Silva drops tomorrow, Tuesday March 9th. Talk to you then !

Gilles Petersons Xmas Party

This is where to be this weekend. We gotta save Plastic People!! I cant believe they are going to shut down Plastic over some dubious rumours and there are lots of joints open in the same neighbourhood that are way more dodgy. To avoid any legal crap, I will refrain from naming and shaming, instead I will focus on a positive - Gilles Petersons Xmas Party might just be the last chance we all have to rave it up at Plastic People.

I have been going to Plastic since the weekend they opened way back when, my mate Ade in uni tapped me up and said his brother was opening a club in Old St and that I should throw some parties there. I went down to rock the spot, and have been a friend and fan of Plastic since.

So come down, show some love, some support and have a blinding night. the BPm will be repping, Gilles P will be repping.
